After being home for all of 5 minutes last night there was a knock at my door. Upon opening it I found 2 policemen standing there.
Asking if my mother lived with me. Obviously the answer was no, but then they continued to ask if they could come in. Apparently my estranged wife has accused my mother of kicking her when she broke into our house a few months ago. On hearing my mother did not live here one of the policemen asked if I could request my mother to come up so they could speak to her.
After my mother arrived she was just completely shocked at this allegation as I was. Apart from there being 3 other witnesses in the house at the time and none of the have been interviewed, my mother is 70 years old, the agility it would take for her to kick someone would be near impossible.
I am not sure what was going through my wife’s mind when she notified the police about this, but surely if there was any foul play going on, the police would have been called when it happened, not several days later!
Yet again another waste of police time.
